This analysis applies to crane types as covered by Power crane and shovel Association Standard Number Two, Mobile Hydraulic Crane standards and ANSI B30.15; refer to 5.1.

This calculation method has been established to illustrate an analysis to determine the competence of hydraulic telescopic cantilevered crane booms.
